Grizzly Hill
This strategically placed nature play space was developed in the middle of a large asphalt area. This space visually and ecologically connects the playground to Grizzly Peak and the regional landscape with its natural spaces. The flexible elements and inclusive places were specifically designed to foster outdoor learning and play for 4- to 8-year olds.
Grizzly Hill includes a deck for play and performances, an embankment slide, sand play, natural climbing and balancing elements, nooks to tuck away, outdoor classrooms, and native plants for teaching about the Ohlone landscape.
